Which Pilates Training is best for you?

This can depend on the type of teaching you want to do as well as your preferred learning style.

For example, do you just want to teach at a gym and get people fit or do you want to help people develop better movement patterns and relationships with their bodies? Both are valid approaches. It depends on you as a person.

Once you decide what kind of teacher you’re aiming to become, you can look at various Pilates programs...

If you like the full Pilates repertoire, you’ll want a program that identifies as “classical” or “traditional.”

If you like the rehabilitative benefits of Pilates, look for a program that has anatomy, biomechanics, and somatics and LOTS of observation and student practice hours.

If you like Pilates to help you cross-train with other exercises, look for a combination of both of the above. Something that combines Pilates repertoire + functional movement.
