Pilates stretches for back pain!

You’ve done cat-cow, upward dog, and downward dog a thousand times, but why?

Well, very simply, to lubricate and move the fascia and joints of your entire torso and body.

Do you know about fascia? Basically a dynamic webbing that criss-cross, wraps, contains all of our body. (That the simple way of putting it)

The thing about fascia is that hydration is a huge factor in its cellular health. But that doesn’t mean just drink a lot of water (do that too), it means MOVE to hydrate your tissues. As they say… “Motion is Lotion.”

Follow along in this quick Pilates stretching flow to stretch your spine and fascia of your torso.

In the video below, you get to twist your torso and free up your hip joint. This allows fascia from your feet to your hands to start to get some glide.

As always, go easy on your range of motion and take time to listen to your body.
