Pilates for runners

Most athletes know that cross training is essential. If you’re a runner, you want to cross-train to minimize impact on your joints and boost your performance. You’ll need to learn good posture, coordinated breathing, and proper core engagement. 

Guess what can do all that AND MORE?

Pilates!!! With regular Pilates training you’ll improve your posture, alignment, breath control, core engagement, and body awareness. A healthy body has a balance of mobility and stability. This Plos One study showed that just 12 weeks of Pilates can improve 5K performance. Pilates done well and regularly will give you all the things you need to improve your running performance and longevity.
