Pilates Squats for Health

How many times in a day do you go from sitting and standing? A lot! That’s a kind of squat.

How many of those times do you feel a little twinge in your knees, back, or neck? And that’s discouraging and makes you want to just sit down.

But doing squats throughout your day will balance and strengthen your hips and legs. This will improve your overall posture. You may think of squats as quad and glutes only, but depending on what kind of squat you tackle you will work your hamstrings, inner thighs, ankle mobility, and even your core.

You can do squats EVERYDAY! It makes daily activities like picking up groceries or grandchildren much easier. It gives you a total leg workout without tons of equipment (although loading them with weight will further boost your strength). And it can reduce risk of injury.
